Steering Group
Background
The Steering Group to implement the 21st Century Thame Vision and Action Plan has been formed from volunteers. 21st Century Thame Ltd has been set up as a not for profit organisation, a Company limited by guarantee, which is funded by SODC . The Limited Company has two directors, Keith Slater and Mary Stiles and the Project Officer, Alison Isherwood, is the Company Secretary.
Terms of reference
- To have an overview of the progress of the implementation of 21st Century Thame Vision and Action Plan and resolve any tensions which may arise between individual projects.
- To confirm/amend as necessary the priorities outlined in 21CT Vision and Action Plan.
- To agree and oversee the membership and work of any development groups which are established and to ratify any recommendations from these projects.
- To agree the work programme of the Project Officer and to monitor and review progress against targets, highlighting any concerns about the delivery of the programme.
- To review 21st Century Thame Vision and Action Plan on an annual basis and make adjustments and roll it forward as necessary.
- To secure future funding for the Project Officer role and the 21st Century Partnership.
- To help achieve the involvement and support of the wider community and develop the wider Partnership.
- To ensure that 21st Century Thame takes account of other initiatives/developments in the area.
- The Steering Group should meet on a monthly basis but with the flexibility to meet as necessary.
- The Project Officer will attend and service the meetings.
Members should be nominated by their individual organisations on an annual basis. The Chair to be elected from within the group, or after co-option onto it. Members can appoint deputies but have a responsibility to ensure they are briefed and the Project Officer is informed of their attendance.
